As a result of Ashcott Solicitors representations that the Police had erred and misstated the law to the Crown Court we are pleased to confirm that the Police have reduced their sought after benefit figure of £272,038 as against an Ashcotts Client in Confiscation Proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, to a mere £2,000.
William Southcott , Serious Fraud and Regulatory Lawyer at Ashcott Solicitors commented ‘ Its a nice concession for the Client but we’re not done yet. We’re still arguing with the fuzz over the last 2 grand. Hopefully the Po Po wont be so keen to try it on in the future.’
